Clear TuffCab is being developed as a specialist transparent coating for loudspeaker cabinets and similar equipment, with two main intended applications.

Protective Clear Coat

The clear coating is intended for use as a hard-wearing transparent top coat over suitable painted finishes. This may be particularly useful for cabinets finished in custom colours or incorporating decorative artwork, graphics or graffiti-style designs where the appearance needs to remain visible beneath a protective coating.

Compatibility with the underlying paint or artwork should always be tested on a small inconspicuous area before coating the complete cabinet. Final application recommendations will be confirmed when development of the new formulation is complete.

Custom Tinting

Clear TuffCab is also intended to provide a base for customers wishing to create their own custom colours using suitable liquid pigments sourced separately.

Pigments are not supplied by TuffCab. Pigment compatibility, quantity, colour strength, drying behaviour and the resulting finish may vary, so any custom mixture should be thoroughly tested on a small sample before use. TuffCab cannot guarantee the performance or colour accuracy of customer-added pigments.
