About Tuff Cab

Launched in 2006, the Tuff Cab brand started with one product, Black Speaker Paint in 5kg tubs only. It grew steadily in popularity over the years, due to a combination of factors including ease of use, low cost, durability and its attractive finish. For the DIY Market, 'ease of use' was perhaps the key factor. The water based formulation is easy to clean in liquid form, allowing tools to be cleaned with water, and since it contains no harmful solvents, is easy to use without specialist apparatus, a well ventilated area is sufficient, but perhaps the key factor was that a professional looking textured finish can be achieved with just the use of a simple honeycomb roller, and a little bit of patience.

Due to popular demand, we added a range of different colours, and alternative tub sizes, such as 1kg, 2.5kg and 25kg to cater for different demands. Also, we added a choice of finish (satin-matt instead of gloss), in selected colours to cater for the touring market that preferred a low-sheen finish, particularly for use in theatres and stages. Now the UK's most popular loudspeaker paint for DIY cabinet builders, Tuff Cab is expanding across the world, with many dealers across the EU, and also a distributor in India. The standard range of colours is now: Black, White, Yellow, Orange, Signal Red, Wine Red, Black Red, Yellow Green, Moss Green, Black Green, Funky Purple, Deep Purple, Turbo Blue, Aqua Blue, Basalt Grey, Black Grey, Grey Brown and Concrete Grey. You can mix your own too, all the paints are based on the same acrylic base, so you can add black or white to a colour to make it darker or lighter.

Since 2012, Tuff Cab has expanded to include a range of hardware and accessories for loudspeaker cabinets, providing a complete range of products needed to finish your speaker project. The Tuff Cab range has been priced to be competitive, but without compromising on quality, helping you get the job done right, for less money. The range now includes cabinet feet, connector plates, gasket tape, top hats, tuning ports, corners, spray glue, bar handles , sprung handles, punched panels, nuts, bolts, screws, foam, wadding and castors. Pretty much everything a speaker builder would want! Did we forget anything?
