Blue Aran "Tuff Cab" is a viscous coating designed to be rolled on to speaker cabinets using a textured roller. The coating is flexible yet scratch resistant, highly durable and as it is a self crosslinking acrylic is water resistant when dried. It has been specifically developed for wood, plywood and mdf as a coating for flight cases and speaker manufacturing. This coating contains no solvents, and as such is easy to use as it require no specialist breathing apparatus or cleaning equipment..

Please Note: Tuff Cab is designed primarily for use as a covering for new speaker cabinets and flight cases. It is possible for Tuff Cab to not bond perfectly with existing paint finishes, and you may need to rub down the surface to achieve good adhesion. It is also known that Tuff Cab does not always bond well with wood filler, and car body filler, and it is recommended to avoid using these over large areas before applying Tuff Cab.

When applying to bare wood or painting large areas, it is generally advisable to use an acrylic-based white primer to seal the surface prior to application. Apply the acrylic primer in accordance with the manufacturer's usage instructions and allow to fully dry before applying white Tuff Cab. Although white Tuff Cab has a similar finished texture and wear resistance to black TuffCab, due to small differences in chemical composition, viscosity is slightly lower, and the opacity may be insufficient to cover bare wood to the desired degree without the use of a primer.
