White - Satin Matt - 5L

TuffCab is a tough, water-based coating developed specifically for loudspeaker cabinets, flightcases and similar equipment. It provides a hard-wearing professional finish suitable for new cabinet builds as well as refurbishment of existing enclosures.

Coverage

TuffCab offers very good coverage, although the amount required varies depending on the surface, number of coats, texture and application method.

Bare MDF, plywood and other absorbent timber surfaces will normally require at least two coats. The first coat generally uses more paint as it seals and covers the bare surface, while subsequent coats require less and help produce an even texture and finish.

When refurbishing cabinets with a sound existing painted surface, a single coat may often be sufficient to refresh the finish.

Light Colours

When applying White over dark, dirty or heavily marked surfaces, additional coats may be required to achieve an even finish. Clean existing cabinets thoroughly and remove as much dirt and marking as possible before painting.

On new cabinets, particularly where dark wood grain, pencil marks or other markings may show through, applying a coat of suitable white acrylic primer before TuffCab can improve coverage and provide a more consistent base.

New formulation: TuffCab manufactured from September 2026 replaces previous versions of the product. When matching or touching up older cabinets, allow for possible differences in colour, sheen and texture.
